This is one of my favorite abstracts. I had been daydreaming about the North Carolina mountains and those peaceful vibes decided to show up on my palette. This is a mix of watercolor and ink where blues, grays, and purples swirl together like a gentle breeze through the trees. Then, out of nowhere, this little heart popped up—totally unplanned—which felt like a nod from the universe. (I’d like to think it’s my dear departed friends popping in to say hello.) This piece is a reminder that love sneaks into the most unexpected places, even in abstract splashy art. I think it will bring a little mountain magic to wherever “home” might be.
