I used a more free and experimental approach with this piece, compared to my more representational work. I deliberately avoided using reference photos and predetermined subjects, and chose instead to rely on my intuition. I wanted to capture the color and feelings of a walk through the forest during the Fall. I had to let go of control and trust that my experience would guide me in my composition and color choices. The process itself was liberating and fun.
